The Iberian Acorn Loin 75% Iberian breed comes from the part of the Iberian pig with less fat, fed in the ‘montanera’ period with the famous acorns that give rise to its denomination. Its flavor is exquisite.

  • The pigs receive exceptional attention throughout their lives and feed exclusively on acorns during the montanera season. The acorn provides the animal with a high percentage of oleic acid that gives the loin healthy, scientifically proven characteristics. The Acorn Iberian Loin generates good cholesterol and reduces the percentage of bad, it is also rich in omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9.
  • The loin, once cut and after a salting process, is introduced in a combination of paprika, garlic and water salt; Later, a long and delicate process of curing and smoking with holm oak firewood in the natural dryers begins.
  •  The microclimate of the area declared Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve of Unesco meets certain conditions that make it especially suitable for a slow and correct maturing of each of the pieces. The natural dryers located in the heart of the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche give the loin the color, aroma and flavor during the whole process of curing and smoking of each piece. At home, the loin should be kept in a cool and ventilated place until consumption.
